Q. How and why did you get into the business?
A. We were looking to start a restaurant together. Our search lead us to Guilderland. It is a great community for our business and has a great school district to raise our sons.
Q. Do you have many regular customers? Is there anything specific that they are always coming in for?
A. Most of our customers are regulars! We offer a wide array of Japanese dishes, such as Miso Soup, Gyoza, California Roll, Tuna Roll and Hibachi Shrimp.
Try our food and service today. Come in for a Japanese Lunch Special or you can also online order your favorite Japanese food for take out.
Q. Are you known for anything special?
A. Many people enjoy our Hibachi and Sushi Bar! We have several customer favorites such as the Tomo Roll and the Akanomi Roll. Our Local Fireman Roll, made with a recipe provided by a customer, benefits the Guilderland Fire Department in December.
Q. Do you sponsor any local teams, if so which ones?
A. We sponsor many Guilderland teams and activities. We are fortunate to live in such a great community!
Q. What do you love most about the business?
A. Connecting with customers! We get to celebrate many milestones with families and watch them grow.
Q. What do you think is your biggest challenge with the business?
A. Like many small businesses, finding and retaining employees is challenging. We have been fortunate hiring many Guilderland High School students. With our current expansion we are adding waitstaff. If you know anyone interested, please have them stop by.
Q. What do you want the community to know about you?
A. We have been looking to expand for a few years, but we did not want to leave Guilderland. Recently, when space became available in the plaza we are currently located, it seemed like the ideal time to grow.
The additional space will feature more comfortable seating, a larger kitchen and sushi bar. We anticipate being open mid-October.
Please stop by and visit our new expanded location. We are offering the first 100 customers who mention this story a FREE Polo shirt!
