A. In 2015
Q. Where are you located?

Q. What is your phone number and website address?
A. 518-355-9319 and www.facebook.com/puregreenclean2015
You can also find us on care.com
Q. What hours are you open?
A. Monday through Friday 8-5
Q. How and why did you get into the business?
A. In the summer of 2015, Pure Cleaning Services started as a pool side daydream and then became reality. We asked ourselves: how could we find or chase a rewarding career that we love and make a living, yet be able to spend more time with family and make a difference in the lives of others. With Maureen’s strong passion for living an organic and environmentally friendly lifestyle (gardening, her own honeybee colony, recycling, organic eating, limiting waste) and Brittany’s upbringing (she’s Maureen’s eldest daughter) and her college background (a bachelors degree in Atmospheric Science)- an environmentally friendly business concept started to take shape. A major societal trend revolves around the phrase “environmentally friendly”; the world is growing ever more conscious of the way our food is grown/produced, water and energy consumption, limiting waste, the ingredients in skin care products and detergents…but not everyone realizes that the way we clean is just as important. The chemicals we wipe down our surfaces and floors with that we later come in direct contact with (or our pets and children do), the products that we wash down our drains each day, or the amount of paper towels we carelessly throw away. Combine all of this with the fact that we actually enjoy cleaning and there you have the development of PCS. An eco-friendly, less toxic, minimal waste cleaning company!
Q. Do you have many regular customers? Is there anything specific that they are always coming in for?
A. We have roughly 65 regular customers and we clean on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly schedule. Residential clients make up the bulk of our work load but we also take care of a few local businesses and we do new construction cleaning (before apartments or homes are moved into).
Q. Are you known for anything special?
A. We’re a mother-daughter owned and operated company AND we’re eco-friendly! Being green and less toxic sets us apart.
Q. What do you love most about the business?
A. Our relationships with our customers! This business gives us great joy because we are making a difference in the lives of others; whether they can no longer clean due to their health, their busy work schedules, or just because they’d rather spend their spare time with family and friends, we are happy to help! Also, being able to grow this business together, as Mother and Daughter and partners, its been so rewarding! A family run business surely has its challenges but at the end of the day we have each other to lean on and bounce ideas off of and it has definitely helped our business grow.
Q. What do you think is your biggest challenge with the business?
A. The first two years, the biggest challenge was getting our name out there and finding work. Thankfully, that is no longer a problem for us and we have our amazing customers to thank for that! Spreading the word about us and using Facebook to share our page and google to review us…we’re forever grateful! Now, our challenge is finding new employees to add to our team!
Q. What do you want the community to know about you?
A. We just want to thank every single person who has supported us along the way, it has kept us going even on our worst days! And if you or anyone you know is looking for a reliable, passionate, eco-friendly cleaning company, give us a call! We’d love it if you chose Pure Cleaning Services for your home or office cleaning needs!
