Interview with Victory Lynn Riedy, Ed. M.
Guilderland, NY – Victory Riedy has been caring for children for nearly thirty years. Seeing a need for quality childcare, Riedy has made it her mission to give children and their families a supportive and loving environment
to rely on. Her flagship childcare center is located in the heart of downtown Albany and cares for over 100 children year round. It is a program that focuses on support and guidance of children within the continuum of learning that each individual child is on. “Club Fed,” as the Albany location is named, holds claim to high staff retention rates as well as accreditation through NAEYC and a five-star rating from QUALITYstarsNY.
After finding success in Albany, Riedy expanded her program to care for children of the Guilderland community. Beginning in September of 2016, Victory Child Care, Inc. (VCC) at Guilderland was created. In both Farnsworth Middle School and Pine Bush Elementary School, preschool/prekindergarten classrooms sit, immersed in rich curriculum-based materials with valuable staff. VCC prides itself in giving children quality care steeped in research based practice. Guilderland serves children ages 2 years 9 months up until children are ready to attend kindergarten. All locations pride themselves in remaining open throughout the year with the exception of Federal holidays and four staff in-service days a year. The locations are open 7:30am to 5:30pm and offer two meals and a snack each day. Enrollment information can be found at victorychildcare.com or families can contact Victory Child Care, Inc. by phone at 518-431-4338.
