Guilderland, NY – Young Cooper Smith closely examines the mammoth snowplow on one of Guilderland Highway Department’s trucks at the Guilderland Public Library’s “Big Vehicle Petting Zoo” on Tuesday, July 11. Guilderland Fire District trucks were immensely popular, as was the Highway Department’s cherry picker truck. The Petting Zoo was just one event in the library’s “Build a Better World” Summer Reading program, To learn the full slate of upcoming Summer Reading events, visit www.guilpl.org/src.
Note Cooper’s grandmother, Betty Walk, at far left, keeping a steady eye on her grandson.
